“Let me tell ya, Johnny, this one’s going to the moon, this one’s going to Grand Central Station, and this one is going to the American presidency! Because I’ll say it now, I’ll say it then, and I’ll say it again. LONG LIVE DIARRHEA PLANET AND LONG LIVE EVERYONE I KNOW!” A…
Nashville’s Diarrhea Planet have easily become one of my favorite bands of 2011. My copy of Aloha, their EP released earlier this year by Evil Weevil, has more wear and tear on it than that last pair of underwear I bought 6 years ago, and just like…

When I went down to Nashville, I was determined to see as many of my favorite bands as I could, one of them being Natural Child, a three-piece made up of Seth, Wes, and Zack. They had no dates scheduled for the two weeks I was going to be there, but by the time I left Nashville, I had seen them play twice. One was at Third Man when The Strange Boys recorded their live LP, but the first gig was at a house and was my favorite show in Nashville, if not the entire year.
As I got to the show, I was still nursing the hangover from all the trouble I’d gotten into in Memphis the night before. I didn’t care though, I was about to see Natural Child in someone’s bedroom, and all I could think about was how fucking cool that was. After quite some time, Wes turned off the car and the music, and as he was about to get up, my friend chimed up and said, “the bowl’s not done.” In one fluid motion, he sat down, turned the engine back on, put on The Stones, and punched the lights out.
When you’re on the road as much as JEFF the Brotherhood are, you’re mind is bound to start playing tricks on you as you’re endlessly driving down a dark path. For instance, you might see a topless woman on the hood of your car spewing out blood at you as she’s doused…
